Old Hand, Barcelona, 2022

I observed this old woman and her dog spend more than an hour dominating the public ping pong table at this park in Barcelona. People came to her with their own paddles to challenge her for the court, and she was undefeated in every game I watched. She was clearly a regular, running the court like it wasn't even a challenge, and her dog watched vigilantly from her court-side seat, guarding her ping pong pro.
